The Photographic Collective (TPC)'s mission is to highlight emerging photographers and visual artists from Africa and its diasporas, as well as those whose practices have not yet gained international visibility. Launched in 2020, TPC aims to offer greater exposure to young artists, bring long‑overlooked archives to light, and champion new visual languages. By connecting diverse practitioners across the field, TPC serves as a valuable resource for anyone working in African photography and visual culture, showcasing a carefully curated selection of artists. TPC fosters exchanges among artists as well as with industry professionals, including curators, academics, students, and collectors. It actively contributes to contemporary debates on photography, both within African and international contexts. A true discovery hub for anyone interested in photography, TPC supports lens-based artists in the professional development of their practice and prioritises a collective dynamic and the sharing of resources among its members: open calls, exchange sessions with curators, meetings with institutional directors, and more.
